Scrappy Shakespeare: Macbeth

  • Denny's Tower

This summer Spartanburg's outdoor Shakespeare is back with their production of the bard's great tragedy, Macbeth. This year the production takes place on the beautiful great of the Denny's Headquarters Building Plaza.

Scrappy Shakespeare works with the belief that the most magical part of a theatrical production is the relationship between the performers and the audience. Their aesthetic and design focuses on what the actors can create--a minimal setting is enhanced by live music and sound, puppetry, and the athleticism of 6 actors performing 30 roles.

Taking its cues from the style of early Tim Burton and Jim Henson films this production is sure to be creepy, whimsical, magical, and funny. Scrappy Shakespeare intends their work to be family friendly, but some moments may be intense for young children.
